Rural Advancement and Agriculture Extension Laboratory (RADAEL)

 

Introduction and Objectives

 
 

Rural Advancement and Agriculture Extension Laboratory (RADAEL) was officially established on February 2007. This laboratory aspires to be a leader in and key referral fro research and development (R&D) works in the areas of rural development and agriculture extension for the benefits of all researchers, policy makers, planners and other customers.

 

Currently, the agriculture sector has been acknowledged as the third important sector in national economy development after the manufacturing and service sectors. The agriculture sector is synonymous with rural community. Therefore, the formation of this laboratory is very relevant in assisting the endeavor of our government to improve the rural community capability towards a modern, commercialize and, competitive agriculture sector.

 

RADAEL hopes to play an important role in the dissemination information and providing input to the government agencies for formulating more effective and suitable policy for rural development.

 

 
     
 
  1. To identify and implement research projects related to critical problem and emerging issues in the field of rural advancement and agriculture extension.
  2. To disseminate information and provide input related to rural development and agriculture extension in Malaysia to researchers, policy makers and planners at national, regional and international levels.
  3. To plan and conduct training and human resource development programs related to rural advancement and agriculture extension.
