OBJECTIVE
The Institute strives to :

Identify, plan and implement research activities related to current issues that have impact
towards social and economic change, community education, youth studies, rural advancement, agriculture extension, and cancer health education and services.

Consolidate research activities through offering and management of Masters, Ph.D and Postdoctoral programmes.

Generate research findings as an input for policy legislation and programme implementation.

Plan and conduct training programmes and human resource development towards developing life long learning community.

Act as "point-of-contact" for UPM in providing professional services related to community development and social change issues.
