UPM SERDANG, Nov 3 -The Institute for Social Science Studies (IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held the Closing Ceremony of the Student Mobility Program,Putra Social Science Study Tours together with 12 students and 2 lecturers from Universiti Islam Negeri Hidayatullah Sharif, Jakarta, Indonesia. This mobility program lasted for 12 days starting on 24 October to 4 November 2023. Putra Social Science Study Tours is the first mobility program organized by IPSAS. Among the contents of this program are learning activities, visits to agencies, visits to industry and engagement sessions with the community.
At the beginning of the program, participants were taken on a tour around the UPM campus and visited the Sultan Abdul Samad Library and the Malay Heritage Museum at the Faculty of Modern Languages ​​and Communication, UPM. For learning activities, participants are exposed to social science research methodology, effective communication, getting to know one's personality, as well as occupational and environmental health legislation. In addition, participants had the opportunity to visit several agencies under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, such as the International Youth Center and the Malaysian Youth Development Research Institute (IYRES).Adab Youth Garage is a non-governmental organization selected for community engagement sessions.
Participants of this mobility program also have the opportunity to visit Putrajaya and the city of Kuala Lumpur. Among the places visited are the Islamic Art Museum, Nasyrul Quran Complex, Art Market, Anjung Floria, Putra Mosque, Iron Mosque and public parks.
